Why did you choose to attend the University of Iowa School of Planning and Public Affairs (SPPA)?

What excites you the most about being a part of the local and university communities?
I love the character of Iowa City and the fact that there is something for everyone here. Nearly everyone you meet is interested in learning more about you and what you like to do.

I see myself working in Chicago to improve housing and community development.
What advice would you give to someone considering pursuing a master of urban planning at the School of Planning and Public Affairs?
I would advise anyone wanting to join this program to prepare to make amazing friends and connections during your time here. Take every opportunity you can to go outside your comfort zone and take advantage of the opportunities presented to you.
What do you enjoy outside of school?
I like to partake in the local scenery of both outdoor spaces such as Hickory Hill Park and indoor spaces such as the gem of Deadwood Tavern.
