Associate Professor Jerry Anthony recently traveled to Belgrade, Serbia as an invited lecturer. His talk, “Urban Sustainability – why it is important and how it can be achieved,” was held at the Faculty of Architecture in the University of Belgrade. His host, Associate Professor Uros Radosavljevic, spent several months in 2011 in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Iowa as part of the Fulbright Junior Faculty Development Program, sponsored by the U.S. State Department.

During his one-week visit to Belgrade, Professor Anthony gave talks to students in a course on Sustainable Architecture and also to students interested in Integrated Urbanism. While in Serbia, he additionally attended the International Academic Association on Planning, Law, and Property Rights' annual conference held this year at the University of Novi Sad. The trip was made possible through a grant awarded by the Office of International Programs and travel funding from the School of Urban and Regional Planning.
