URP is pleased to host the third Urban Design Sketches Student exhibition. Students in the Designing Sustainable and Healthy Cities course made three sketches this semester in: downtown Iowa City, the historic Longfellow neighborhood, and more recent developments on the Eastern edge of Iowa City. The goal of these sketches was to engage students in careful observation of all the elements that make for good buildings and streetscapes. These include architectural details and variety, building scale and density, mature trees and shade, pedestrian perspectives and more.  

The exhibition was displayed during graduation and will remain up until the end of summer for everyone to enjoy!
