Six of our master's students (Brooke Axness, Jocelyn Borjas, Brian Dunkelburger, Shure Erdenebat, Ryan Schweitzer, and Seth Thomas) along with three undergraduates (Kylie Gava, Spencer Gibson, and Brett Pierson) creatively captured people and places in eastern Iowa this past semester with three short videos they produced, shot, and edited. Their videos help tell the story of a region by showing that Iowa is about more than corn and hogs.

Please see more about the Grant Wood Mississippi River Region Community Storytelling Project and watch the three videos about this part of Iowa, including its historic buildings still in use, the passionate people who converted and work in them, the Mississippi River Museum and its focus on the river's watershed, and the area's hidden, but beautiful and surprising natural spaces.
