A project by four, May 2019 graduates of Iowa’s School of Planning and Public Affairs has received the “2020 Exemplary Student Project” award from the Iowa Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA). The winning project, “Iowa City Automated Vehicles Adaptation & Equity Plan” was completed
by Chanel Jelovchan Hippix, Bogdan Kapatsila, Hossain Mohiuddin and Jeremy Williams as their capstone. Faculty members Jerry Anthony and Steve Spears served as their advisors.
This juried award is typically presented at the annual APA Iowa or Upper Midwest conference award ceremony but this year the conference was virtual and so a video was prepared to announce the award. The APA video describes the plan and includes an acceptance speech by Jeremy Williams on behalf of the team.
