Why did you join the program? 
I heard about SPPA from my friends who are now alumni. I liked the fact that this program offers professional degrees and provides hand-on experience on planning through capstone projects. In addition to that, I visited Iowa City multiple times before joining the program and I liked the vibes here. This place is very welcoming and vibrant, and I believe that SPPA’s strong connection to the local planning community is a promising platform for future planning students.

What advice would you give to someone considering pursuing a master of urban planning at the School of Planning and Public Affairs?
Work smart not hard, take advantage of the opportunities offered by the program and the university, and build strong connections with the students, faculties and alumni.

What's a fun fact about you? 
I love hiking in the mountains, playing poker, and cooking dishes from different countries.
