What did you do before you joined the program?
I started pursuing the master in urban planning through the undergraduate-to-graduate (U2G) program while still completing my bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and Planning.

Why did you choose to attend the University of Iowa School of Planning and Public Affairs (SPPA)?
I decided that the School of Planning and Public Affairs was best for me because of the opportunity to participate in the U2G program.

What's next for you?
In the next five years, I see myself living in a city somewhere hopefully working a job related to transportation planning! I also hope to have a dog!

What advice would you give to someone considering pursuing a master of urban planning at the School of Planning and Public Affairs?
First off, do it! Secondly, I would work to answer the question, "Why do you want to be a planner?" I think that having this question answered for yourself before you come into the program helps to motivate you when things get tough and remind you why you want to do this.
