Community engagement projects are a significant aspect of our planning and public affairs master’s degrees. The second-year capstones are arranged through the Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities (IISC) within our school and this year's community partnerships were recently announced. Projects will be with the cities of Burlington and West Burlington, and two nonprofit Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) organizations- Pathfinders RC&D in southeastern Iowa and Iowa Valley RC&D in the Iowa City area.
