Graduating class: 2022

Maya was part of the the University of Iowa's U2G (Undergraduate-to-Graduate) degree program and  finished her bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and Planning after her second semester of graduate courses.

  • She held an internship with Johnson County in Planning, Development and Sustainability where she received real-world experience in planning.
  • Maya's favorite things about Iowa City are the IC Public Library's Art-To-Go program and all the events downtown, including the annual Downtown Block Party, Farmer's Market, and summer Friday Night Concert Series.
  • The U2G program, which allows undergraduate students at Iowa to begin their master's coursework in their last year of undergrad, and finish both degrees in only five years, is what drew Maya to Iowa's School of Planning and Public Affairs.
