Biography

Dr. Cara Hamann is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Core Director of Training and Education for the Injury Prevention Research Center at the University of Iowa. Her research focuses on unintentional injury prevention, with a focus on transportation safety. Her work includes naturalistic studies, intervention development and evaluation, and linked analyses of transportation, justice, and medical data of high-risk and vulnerable road user groups and locations (rural areas, bicyclists, pedestrians, teen drivers, older drivers, child passenger restraint).
