Kansha Tiwari
Kansha Tiwari began her educational journey to become an architect in 2006. She received her Master's of Sustainable Architecture from Oxford Brookes University, U.K. in 2013. Post-graduation, she worked as a senior architect in India on green buildings when she felt there was something more out there for her – much bigger, broader than site planning and building design. Her desire to identify community and regional issues and develop strategies to achieve overall economic development and prosperity led her to pursue a Master's of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Iowa.
Right after graduation in 2017, she began her professional journey as a regional planner with Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission (SEIRPC). Today, in her position as a Regional Plans Administrator at SEIRPC, Tiwari wears different hats and leads several planning processes for comprehensive plans, bike/pedestrian plans, and long-range transportation plans, along with grant writing and administration for regional partners and communities.
