Several of Heather MacDonald’s Affordable Housing Finance students attended this year’s Iowa Home Ownership Education Project (IHOEP) Spring Conference held in Iowa City on April 27. IHOEP’s Executive Director, Stephanie Preusch, is a URP alumnus and met with students before the conference to answer questions about current homeownership initiatives in Iowa.

Students attended breakout sessions and panel discussions which gave them the opportunity to interact with housing practitioners and see how their classroom education applies to communities around Iowa. This biannual event is intended to keep homeownership counselors up-to-date on the most important housing issues facing Iowans.
