On September 11th & 12 Urban and Regional Planning will be co-sponsoring Transportation Finance and Economics Symposium: Policies for the Future, with the Public Policy Center. This symposium will inaugurate the Forkenbrock Series on Public Policy, and honors David Forkenbrock, long-time Professor in Urban and Regional Planning, the founding director of the Public Policy Center, and a national leader in highway finance research.

Paul Hanley has been the chief organizer and has arranged for national experts in transportation finance and economics to speak about innovative approaches to financing, identification and evaluation of economic impacts, as well as shifts in public policy for future transportation projects.
