The Planning Program has created a Community Outreach Practicum to encourage our students to apply their planning skills to address important planning issues in our community. In the first semester of that program, two of our master’s students are assisting Liz Christiansen, UI’s Director of Sustainability, with projects related to increasing the sustainability of the UI campus. Tiffany Wilson (pictured on the left), a second year student is working on integrated pest management, among other projects, and Sara Snyder (pictured on the right), a first year student, is working with UI students to get them involved in sustainability projects across campus.
