On April 8-10 the Graduate Program in Urban and Regional Planning will be co-hosting (with the European Studies Group) a visit by Professor Wil Zonneveld from Delft Technical University in The Netherlands. Zonneveld is a full professor and the program leader of the OTB "Urban Studies" research group at Delft. He has special expertise in the field of strategic spatial planning at the regional, national and European levels. In recent years he has worked on assignments for organizations such as the European Commission; the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and Environment; and local and regional entities.

Zonneveld will make two presentations while he's here. On Thursday, April 9, he will speak about Dutch spatial planning. This will take place from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. in room W401 of the John Pappajohn Business Building, and it will be immediately followed by a reception in Zonneveld's honor.

On Friday, April 10, he will speak about the discourse of European territorial governance. (Although that sounds like it has nothing to do with planning, it actually does.) This will take place from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in room 2520D of University Capitol Centre (in the Old Capitol Town Center building). Please see the flyer for more information.
