Leondra S. Lawson, Urban and Regional Planning's 2009 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Fellow, completed her research and presented her analysis and findings at the Iowa Summer Research Symposium.  Over the summer, Leondra and REU mentor Rick Funderburg estimated six econometric models to test for statistical evidence of a relationship between business taxes and state economic growth.  Funded by the National Science Foundation, the REU program supports active research participation by undergraduate students.  Leondra is a Chemistry major at Jackson State University.
