The School of Urban and Regional Planning held its first Advisory Board meeting on April 27th. The board was formed to discuss overall goals, curriculum, and opportunities for enhancing research, instruction, service to the community and the profession, financial aid, and facilities. The board met with Director Chuck Connerly, Dean John Keller, the URP students, and faculty to learn more about current issues with the school. The members of the board include ten alums representing each decade from the 1970’s to the 2000’s, and one other leader in the Planning field. The meeting was very productive and we are enthusiastic about the advice they will continue to offer. At the top of their list is planning and preparing for our 50th anniversary celebration in 2014. Stay tuned!
