Uroš Radosavljević, a visiting scholar with the Junior Faculty Development Program (JFDP) at the University of Iowa, will give a presentation, "Urban Development Challenges in Serbia” this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., in 101 Biology Building East. An Assistant Professor in the department of urbanism at the University of Belgrade, he has experience and knowledge in urban planning, policy design and capacity building for Serbian municipalities, United Nations-Habitat in Serbia, GTZ-KWD in Serbia, and European Union funded projects on mobility. This event is free and open to the public.

Uroš' visiting scholar opportunity is made possible through the JFDP, a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State. JFDP is a non-degree, professional development program that provides promising junior university faculty with the opportunity to expand knowledge and expertise in their respective academic fields by attending classes and working with faculty members at universities in the United States. Uroš is spending the spring 2011 semester in the School of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Iowa. We are pleased to have the opportunity to learn from him as well, and look forward to his presentation.
