Andrew Greenlee received the AICP Outstanding Student award for 2006. Andrew maintained a perfect GPA in our program and, based on the quality of his academic work, received a Dean’s Graduate Fellowship throughout his studies at the University of Iowa. He has shown a consistent willingness to work with fellow students, and volunteered for a variety of activities such as Habitat for Humanity. Andrew was also an excellent citizen for our program, serving as the student representative during our faculty search process in 2006, and for our profession through his membership on the Executive Board of the Iowa Chapter of the APA.

His commitment to the planning profession is reflected in his work as an intern for the Chicago Rehab Network and his independent research project on the migration of African-Americans away from large central cities. Andrew is passionately committed to planning practice, education, and research, as well as social equity and justice.
