According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics's 2010-2011 Occupational Outlook Handbook, prospects for job growth in urban and regional planning are above average.

For the second year in a row, Urban and Regional Planning graduate students won the All University Co-recreational Championship at Iowa.

Second-year student, Beth Westlake, recently presented her research, "Perception of Driver Distraction Among Teenage Drivers," at the University of Iowa's Jakobsen Conference.
